We provide early childhood education through, respect and care for each child and their family in a quality nurturing learning environment.

To provide an inclusive environment that meets the diverse needs of our children, our families and our community. To create a program that is flexible in supporting the development of each child through their interests, strengths and needs. To build and strengthen relationships with and between children, their families and the community through collaborative, reciprocal partnerships. To embed sustainability within our program to be inherent in our children’s learning, and to adopt sustainable practices in interactions with our physical environment. 

Our Mini School Community 

We believe that within every child, every family and in every culture, the experience of childhood is a unique journey. Each person is respected and accepted as individuals, are listened to and treated with dignity. They are valued and respected for the unique qualities they bring to our service, sharing their knowledge, skills and expertise. 

Children 

We offer a play-based program to support children’s holistic development and wellbeing through handson authentic and meaningful experiences. This fosters a sense of wonder, exploration and discovery through inquiry-based learning that is child led. We celebrate children’s agency and encourage children to work collaboratively with educators and peers, problem solve, assess risks and negotiate change. 

Educators 

We believe our educators are an integral part of the Preschool bringing fundamental core values including respect, empathy, compassion and inclusiveness that contribute to the child’s whole experience. We acknowledge the importance of working as a team to provide high quality care and education and further understand our roles as advocates for children and their rights. 

Relationships 

Relationships are the foundation for successful partnerships. We strive towards relationships that are honest, respectful, compassionate and collaborative within our preschool and community 

Programming 

The Early Years Learning Framework, Indigenous perspectives, National Quality Standards and The Rights of the Child forms the basis of our programming and is reflected throughout our diverse programs within the service. 

Environment 

We recognise the benefits of having a welcoming, relaxed and friendly environment that allows all children to feel safe and secure in their learning environment. We are passionate about nature play and environmental education. Our environments allow children to develop confidence, independence, resilience and overall wellbeing. We encourage educators and children to discover respect for the land, nature and animals. This fosters a genuine appreciation for our outdoor environment embracing our responsibility for a sustainable future. 

Connecting with country 

We acknowledge the traditional owners and custodians of this land of The Bundjalung Nation, of the Coodjingburra People, the Saltwater land of which we play and learn on.
